Authors Portrait Session

Elevate and promote your latest book with a cover headshot and creative setting images for social media.

These book authors worked with us to create images that portray them in settings that perfectly fit their stories and to promote their work.

Chloe Snyder’s book is titled, “Turning Time, The Original Prophecy“. Available on Amazon and select local bookstores.

Book Promotion Image

This young author’s book was recently published so she brought copies to the promotional photoshoot.

This picture puts the focus on the book cover. Her peeking over the top draws the viewer’s eyes into the shot. A dark blue textured backdrop was digitally placed behind the subject.

Book Signing

Props make an image more interesting and provide context.

In this shot, we set the studio up to show the young author at a book signing.

Even though we have studio props we encourage you to bring some of your own to make the setting more personal.

Book Cover Headshot

A key chapter in this author’s book was a burning castle.

To create this composite, we selected and edited a background image, then took a nice headshot with hair light that had a soft orange gel. When combined the subject blended with the glow from behind. The result is a photograph that could have been taken on location.

Jani Anders’s new book, “Again” will be available soon.

Book Cover Headshot

The dark setting for this author was intentional to match the theme of his book on the paranormal.

The use of a second backdrop next to the subject gives the impression of standing in a hallway.

Bob Baker’s latest book is titled, “The Bridgeport Demon House” and will be available May-June 2025.

Book writing

Victoria Snodgrass is completing her book, “No Straight Jacket Required” documenting her successful recovery from mental illness.

Victoria’s new book, “No Straight Jacket Required” will be available soon.

Time Machine

You provide the imagination and we design creative pictures that match your ideas.

In this example, the author is stepping out of a time machine, a key theme of the book.

The mist is theatrical smoke generated on set. The lighting is from four strobes, two of which have gels, selected to match the cover of her book. A backlight between the prop and the background provides visual separation.

You provide the idea in advance and we will work with you to create the image.
