Smoking Pickleball
This was a fun image to create! The subject was photographed at a slow shutter speed to catch the blurred motion. Next, we photographed the ball falling through theatrical smoke and combined the images.
Creative Lighting
In this 3-light set, we created the feel of the subject standing next to a window and being illuminated by light from “outside”.
The lighting brings the viewer’s eye to the subject’s face and the pose creates a flattering look.
Looking Out
This set was created to provide the illusion that the subject was looking out a window through shutters. The inspiration was from noir photography.
Computer Workstation simulation
This set was created to give the feel that the user was at a computer workstation. The dark background draws the viewers eye to the subject’s face.
Cold in the Rain
To simulate rain, we created a set with backlighting on the water drops sprayed by an assistant.
The rain and the umbrella give the image context; the subject’s expression and grip with just the right lighting gives the photograph feeling.
Magic Time Machine
In one of our more elaborate sets, we created the illusion of two young girls stepping out of a magic box into a new place and time.
Theatrical Smoke was used to create the mist. Lights with colored gels gave the box its magic look.
I was overwhelmed with the professionalism that I was greeted with. Steve is a wizard ... I love his work!
